Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By adding Wobby to a Discord server, accessing the Wobby dashboard, or completing the Wobby verification flow, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of the Wobby service.

2. Description of the service

Wobby is a Discord security and moderation bot that provides:

• Member verification and risk scoring at server join
• Automated moderation actions based on configurable risk thresholds
• Cross-server anomaly detection to identify ban-evading or suspicious accounts
• Per-server administration dashboards for viewing member data and configuring settings
• Slash commands for server moderation functions

The service operates as a Discord application and is subject to Discord's Terms of Service, Discord's Community Guidelines, and Discord's Developer Policy. Use of Wobby must comply with all of those policies.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required to use Discord in your country) to use the service. By using Wobby, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

Server administrators who configure Wobby and access member data represent that they have the authority to do so under applicable data protection law and that their use of Wobby is lawful in their jurisdiction.

4. Server administrator obligations

When you add Wobby to a Discord server, you become the data controller for verification data collected in that server and take on the following obligations:

• Disclosure: Inform your members, prior to or upon joining, that a security verification check is required and that technical data — including connection information and device signals — will be collected. This may be done via server rules, an onboarding message, or channel description.
• Lawful use: Ensure your configuration and use of Wobby is lawful under the laws applicable to you and your members, including applicable data protection and privacy regulations.
• Appropriate thresholds: Configure automated moderation actions (kicks, role assignments, alerts) appropriately for your community. Wobby's risk scores are probabilistic signals — you are responsible for reviewing flagged members and making final moderation decisions.
• No abuse: Do not use Wobby to target, harass, discriminate against, or facilitate unlawful action against any individual.
• Credential security: Keep your dashboard credentials and any server-specific passwords confidential. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Member obligations

As a member completing a Wobby verification, you agree to:

• Complete the verification honestly and not attempt to circumvent, spoof, or manipulate any part of the process
• Not use automated tools, bots, virtual machines intended for evasion, or proxy/VPN services specifically to deceive the verification
• Accept that completing the check is a condition of joining the Discord server that requires it

6. Prohibited uses

The following are prohibited for all users of the service:

• Using Wobby to harass, stalk, dox, or facilitate harm to any individual
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary components of the service
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to other servers' data, the administration dashboard, or the underlying infrastructure
• Interfering with the availability or integrity of the service (including DDoS attacks, scraping at abusive rates, or deliberate data poisoning)
• Using the service for any purpose that violates applicable law, including discrimination on the basis of protected characteristics
• Re-selling, sublicensing, or offering access to the service to third parties without express written permission

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of access and, where applicable, reporting to Discord or relevant authorities.

7. Service plans and payment

Wobby is available under a Free tier and a Pro tier. The features available under each tier are described in the dashboard.

• Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method.
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
• If a payment fails, access may be downgraded to the Free tier until payment is resolved.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice to active subscribers.

8. Intellectual property

All software, designs, algorithms, and content comprising the Wobby service are the property of the Wobby operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. These terms do not grant you any licence to that intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the service as described herein.

You retain all rights to content you create using the service (e.g. keyword rules, admin notes). By entering such content you grant us a limited licence to process it for the sole purpose of operating the service.

9. Data and privacy

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these terms by reference and governs all data processing carried out in connection with the service. Server administrators who process personal data through Wobby do so as independent data controllers and are responsible for compliance with applicable data protection law.

Members may request erasure of all data Wobby holds about them by messaging Wobby directly on Discord. The bot will guide them through identity verification and the deletion process.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Wobby's risk scores are probabilistic signals. They are not legal determinations, background checks, or definitive verdicts. The operator of Wobby is not liable for any moderation decision made by a server administrator based on those scores.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATOR OF WOBBY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) USD $50.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Wobby operator and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the service; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including privacy or intellectual property rights; or (d) any moderation decision you make as a server administrator.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, Discord's policies, or applicable law. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice, but reserve the right to act without notice where necessary to protect the service or other users.

On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Verification data stored on behalf of a server may be retained for a limited period to allow the server administrator to export records, after which it will be deleted.

13. Service availability and modifications

We make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime.

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features of the service at any time. For material changes that adversely affect existing functionality, we will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any dispute arising from these terms that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts competent for the operator's location. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer in your country of residence.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of the page reflects when the current version takes effect. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the service and may request deletion of your data by messaging Wobby on Discord.
